Occasionally I see a red blinking LED inside of the base station. I think it indicates the Verizon card is in the process of transmitting. Can anyone confirm this? Not good. Here is a link from the search tool on the top of the right hand of the page where you can read about it, and what to do about it. Good luck. Thanks for the response and the link. To be more specific, I get the red LED flashing twice when I unplug the base unit from the wall outlet and the red LED flashes twice when I plug in the base unit back into the wall outlet.

I am getting the text that tells me that the base is on back up power and back to wall power when I plug the base unit back in. I have to think this must be a normal situation as everything works as advertised. Unplugging and plugging the base is causing the cell link to break, and then, when the base in plugged back in, it has to establish the cell link again.

Leave the unit plugged in and leave it alone! Best of luck with your system and best of the holiday season. I don't think so.

What should I do if any of the base stations is not detected?

Unplugging the base moves it to battery backup power, and the flashing light indicates the sending of the "lost power" signal to SS. When you plug it back in, the light flashes again as it sends the "power restored" signal to SS. As long as the backup batteries have enough charge, wouldn't the cell link remain connected?

More of an update. Like when you activate home mode or deactivate home mode. I am thinking this is normal operation. Anybody out there like to check their base station for the blinking red LED? I just armed the system in "HOME" mode and the base light came on blue, steady blue.

When I set it to "OFF" the steady blue light went off. I suspect you have a problem and need to contact SS for technical assistance. Thanks for checking. Oh, THAT red light!

My base is behind the TV and the only thing visible is the very bottom of the unit. It looks like it's part of the TV pedestal. I forgot about the red led as you can't see it.Your family, pets, property — we protect it all. Your Ring Alarm detects an issue.

If you leave the keypad plugged in, the mode will show. We suggest unplugging the keypad once every few weeks to refresh the battery connection. Regarding the Battery Light being on when plugged in, you are correct that there is no way to turn it off while plugged in. The reason it is not the reverse is because when your Keypad is unplugged, it goes into power save mode.

It will however light up yellow to notify you when the battery is running low. If panic mode has been triggered on the keypad or a button, is disarming it the same as disarming the whole system? That is, press the Disarm button and then enter the PIN? Or use the app, or Alexa?
